Qlarant is contracted by the State of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to provide quality assurance for the State’s Developmental Disabilities Services system. We work in partnership with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) at the central office as well as with each local Area office. 

Our number one goal in the state of Florida has always been and will continue to be about improving the quality of supports for Florida citizens with developmental disabilities. The values we support and actively promote are rights, choice, full inclusion, health and safety, respect and dignity, and the person’s satisfaction with all services and supports.

Individuals & Families - The Individual and Family Resources section is helpful to individuals and family members interested in quality services in Florida. Individuals and families may access Qlarant’s review tools and procedures here. The Useful Links site offers easy access to many local and national websites.

Providers - The Provider Resources section contains the tools, policies, and procedures used by Qlarant in the annual Discovery process.  Tools include the Person Centered Review, the Provider Discovery Review, and the Provider Survey. 

Please note funding for Qlarant does not impact the funding for services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities through the state’s Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver.
